Job Description
SAS Developer for a Consumer Giant in NJ. Leading Consumer firm seeks a strong SAS Developer/Analyst for their Business Intelligence Solution team. Person will play a leading role in the design and implementation of the SAS functionality, data loading processes. DESCRIPTION: Developer for the design and implementation of the SAS functionality, data mappings, and data loading processes. Will be expected to combine business requirements, corporate standards, as well as industry best practices in designing, delivering and supporting BI solutions. Develop SAS Data Warehouses using SAS, SAS ETL Studio and other development techniques Develop mappings of Legacy and other external data sources with SAS Datasets and OLAP Data models Automate data loading (ETL) activities into SAS Databases Create reports using Cognos Impromptu products, knowledge of cube design is a plus. Troubleshoot ETL and data mappings, and update SAS ETL Studio sessions for data loading REQUIREMENTS At least 5 + years experience in a SAS Developer capacity in a mid- to large- sized enterprise. Demonstrated expertise in the design of data warehouses, as well as proven experience in trouble shooting existing solutions within the SAS environment. Extensive work experience in SAS 9.x coding, SAS ETL Studio, and some Oracle 8.x experience. Experience with Informatica Power Center or Power Exchange and Cogos is also beneficial. Minimum Technical/professional knowledge required: Strong background in ETL and Analytics (OLAP) methodologies and tools Develop mappings of Legacy and other external data sources with SAS Datasets and OLAP Data models Automate data loading (ETL) activities into SAS Databases Troubleshoot ETL and data mappings, and update SAS ETL Studio sessions for data loading. Experience with SAS 9.x Good communication skills, both written and verbal Minimum Certification/registrations SAS Certification Strongly preferred Additional qualifications and skills desired: Informatica Power Center or Power Exchange Business Intelligence Reporting Tools Oracle 8.x
